My Personal Journey

My Personal Journey

While having a desk based job for the last 25 years my “active lifestyle” outside work was no longer sufficient to help offset consequences of spending prolonged hours in sitting position, resulting in increasingly bad posture and loss of strength.

This is when I formally began studding and practicing fitness training, particularly strength and conditioning to learn how to properly train and reverse the effects of my sedentary lifestyle.

It was physically tough and time demanding, while holding full time job to undertake intense training in my late 40ties. After months of persevering I managed to build it into my work and life balance, and turn it into a habit.

Today I have a particular interest in helping people with sedentary lifestyles to turn regular exercising into a habit. I am passionate about helping adults to follow regular strength and cardiovascular training to improve heart and lung health, increase muscular strength, bone density, improve mobility, flexibility and balance. I also started exploring how exercise can help to alleviate perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms.

I continue to expand my knowledge, learning new training techniques and learning from other experienced fitness professionals. In my training I use elements of Yoga flows, Pilates, Animal Flow, balance moves and mix these routines into traditional lifts and exercises.
